Brenniston Bulletin

Next time you order EpiPen or EpiPen Jr, you may find they have a new look. We wanted to let you know the facts about the new EpiPens, and to assure you that your current EpiPens do not need replacing, unless of course, they have been used or are close to expiring.

The new-look EpiPen devices themselves have not changed. The only difference is in the packaging. Previously, your EpiPen label showed a 10-second injection time however, based on research, the injection time has now been cut down to 3 seconds. Research has revealed that a 3-second delivery is efficient and patients and carers no longer need to hold their EpiPens down for 10 seconds, regardless of labelling.

There is also no longer a need to massage the injection site after using your EpiPen. It will work just as effectively without massage.

After holding the EpiPen in place for 3 seconds, remove it and call an ambulance immediately.

Brenniston stocks two products for anaphylaxis sufferers looking to store their EpiPens safely and securely.
